SNOW!

We finally got a great storm. Cannon has been waiting for a good sledding day. So, we just had to go straight from school.
Fisher loving the snow (before he was too cold and crying).

Fisher-all smiles and "weee"s.

Is this how you snowboard?

Pure joy!

Santa

Saturday we went to the annual Christmas party in Logan. I always love to go to those parties.

Holiday Spirit

Photo circa 2007

We went to see the lights at Temple Square last night! They are always so beautiful. After missing them last year I was determined to see them early this year. We haven't been downtown for a long time and the changes in the buildings and construction are great. I can't wait until all of the projects are completed.
Back to the lights- Cannon wanted to see the river part by the Church Offices. I am glad we followed him. There are cool luminaries with words written in tiny dots in foreign languages and cut metal ones with scenes from the scriptures.
I love Christmas!

Black Friday!

I don't know what came over Ryan Thursday night (because he hates shopping and crowds) but he decided we should hit Walmart at 5:00am. His mom offered to have the boys sleep over. The boys were so excited to go and Fish did great on his first night away from mom. We are thinking we need to have sleep-overs more often!

We went to Walmart, Sam's, Recreation Outlet, Kohl's and REI. Good deals were found everywhere, but the best was Kohls where we got a $110 item for $26! And the item was three times as nice as what we went for! The best surprise was at REI where we got two free shopping bags with $5 gift cards in each! Pretty cool.
After shopping, picking up the boys and some hanging out we headed to the zoo. It was supposed to be 50 degrees but felt really cold. No worries we were dressed for it. But, there were kids there in shorts and tank tops. Who were their parents?
Here, I am looking at Cannon who moved out of the frame. But, I think it is funny because it looks like I am talking to the Zebras.

I guess Ryan cut Fisher from the shot because he slept through the visit.

This shot looked bad on the camera because the fence is across the tiger. But, once I uploaded it I could see the tiger in the background looking at us.

Doesn't he look cute? Ryan said yeah, dangerously cute. I just thought he looked so relaxed.
It was a real treat to see the Wolf. He is so elusive and usually hidden in the leaves. Lucky for us leaves fall!

Not the best picture and where is her cute little Zuri baby?
His best side, just for you!
We saw a lot more, but it seems Ryan Videoed them.
After the zoo we headed to Hires for an early dinner before going downtown to see the lights. Well, at Hires Cannon spilled Ryan's drink all over his (Ryan's) lap which led to some anger and crying. Fisher was so hungry he was crying. Not our best restaurant experience. We headed home for dry pants, but once we were there we lost our momentum and decided against seeing the lights.
I finally fit in a quick nap and then put up the Christmas decorations. Please pray for our decorations and that Fisher will leave them alone! I didn't put out everything, left some favorites packed away, and skipped any glass decorations he would definitely touch. Yet, it seems less is more and the house looks great.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Gobble Gobble from Fisher and Cannon
We have enjoyed our vacation so far.
We made these cute turkeys.
Ryan went to see Ninja Assassins.
Cannon and I went to New Moon.
We slept in!
I actually exercised twice.
We had a lovely dinner with Ryan's Dad and siblings and step-siblings. We are so big now we went to a church and that was great!
We relaxed all afternoon.
Now, I might tackle the newspaper and plan some holiday shopping!

Me Time

Last night was so great! After work I stopped by the library and there was Middlemarch by George Elliot on the hold shelf for me! Yahoo, something good to read. Then, I went to Barnes and Noble, one of my favorite places in the world, and found a beautiful copy of Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening, my favorite poem!
I enjoyed the hour to myself. Such a rare treat. I was a little sad because Cannon and I used to have so much fun alone together going to those same places. I was missing what we had before Fisher. I had to run to the store after dinner and Cannon came along. It was nice to have some time with him. He is such a good, sweet boy.
